SWANU's Twenty Priorities For The People

IInstead of placing priorities on material things, SWANU places its priorities on the People because SWANU believes in the well-being of the People.  SWANU is a People's party! 
 
The following are SWANU's top priority categories of people that need urgent attention and resources allocation:
 
  1. The Poor
  2. Those living in the outlying areas
  3. The Elderly
  4. The Sick
  5. The Children
  6. Women
  7. The living below the breadline
  8. The Disadvantaged
  9. Those living in Shanty-towns (Ghettos)
  10. The Orphans
  1. The Homeless
  2. The Unemployed
  3. Single Parents
  4. The descendants of Genocide victims
  5. Refugees
  6. The Illiterates
  7. The Uninsured (medical and otherwise)
  8. The Destitute
  9.  People living with Disabilities
  10. The Landless
1.        The Poor
 
If it was not for inequities in our society they would not be poor. Remove inequities.
 
2.        Those Living in The Oultying Areas
 
Resettlement practices and rural development must be enhanced.
   
3.      The Elderly
   
They have toiled for us to be better off today, tomorrow and forever. Increase their pensions and create other schemes for them.
  
4.      The Sick
  
They could be healthy if they had access to the best medical facilities and medicines.
  
5.      The Children
  
They need the utmost care now for them to growth into productive citizens. Preprimary education must be funded by the State.
  
6.       Women
  
Educate one woman, you educate the nation.
  
7.      The living below the breadline
  
Namibia has enough resources to be shared by each according their need. Do away with capitalism.
  
8.      The Disadvantaged
  
Equality in! Discrimination out!
  
9.     Those living in Shanty-towns (Ghettos)
  
Namibia has enough resources to provide decent houses for every one.
  
10.   The Orphans
  
They are a responsibility of all of us we have to take care of them sufficiently.
11.    The Homeless
  
Space must be availed for the people to settle.
  
12.    The Unemployed
  
Job creation is the task of every serious government that cares about the people.
  
13.     Single Parents
  
State subsidies must be availed to assist these people.
  
14.    The descendants of Genocide victims
  
Insist on the German government to pay full reparations. 
  
15.     Refugees
  
They are fellow humans; they must be accorded the most suitable hospitality.
  
 16.    The Illiterates
  
Make education free and accessible across the country.
   
17.     The Uninsured (medical and otherwise)
  
Create a socialized medical scheme.
  
18.     The Destitute
   
Look after them with respect, dignity and provide them with adequate facilities and necessary care.
  
19.      People living with Disabilities
   
They should have all privileges, facilities and resources availed to them like all other citizens.  
  
20.     The Landless
   
Give the Land back to the People it was taken away from.
